Buddhist Education Foundation (UK), Ad-Hoc Committee of Amitabha Buddhist Society (UK), University of London Union Buddhist Association and the Imperial College Buddhist Society cordially invite you to attend a series of public talks and engagements focusing on virtue and Buddhist teachings held in London between 11th and 13th October 2006.

The events will host Venerable Master Bhikkhu Chin Kung’s official visit to the UK, following his engagements at UNESCO headquarter in Paris.  Ven Master Chin Kung is one of the greatest Buddhist teachers of our time.  He is also an Adjunct Professor of the University of Queensland, Australia.  In the past few years Master Chin Kung had worked categorically on Buddhist teachings to bridge gaps and reconcile misunderstandings between different faiths through interfaith visits and dialogues, especially in Asia and Australia.  In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2005 Queen’s Birthday Honours List. This is the highest honour that Australia can confer on its citizens. For more information about his background and work please visit the following links:

Ven Master Chin Kung will be accompanied by delegates comprising monastic members, eminent professors, scholars, government officers from China, and lay supporters from around the world.  They will be bringing the important messages of building a sound and harmonious society through education and cultivation of virtue.  Below is the programme of the public talks and engagement.

The full cost of the dinner is £30 but the talks and engagement on the 12 and 13 October are open to the public and admission is free.  The talks will be delivered in Mandarin but interpreted into English by Dr Maosen Zhong, Associate Professor of the University of Queensland, Australia.
